So,we finally meet Justine’s husband. A shame he doesn’t have a name. And,as everyone guessed,Justine called off her maid squad before the battle started. I doubt Lilja’s happy about that. But,I wanted to say a couple of things here. First off,I recently noticed that in the early chapters of this comic,there’s a commenter who’s been here for a few years. Her name is Gwendoline. She makes these interesting and concise reviews and comments of the comics. I must say,she’s really good at it and I hope she continues for the rest of the chapters. I’d love to read more of her stuff.
But,saying that,it is a little surprising to me. Now,please don’t take this wrong way,but for me,it’s a little unusual to see those of the female persuasion commenting on something like “Semi-Auto Semla.” Let’s just say,it ain’t the sort of thing that those like Gloria Steinem or Betty Friedan would have approved of. For me,stuff like this and DID appreciation is largely for guys,just like GID is largely for girls. I’m not saying that women can’t like this comic or other forms of DID,or guys can’t like GID. I just think that’s a little unusual,that’s all. If someone like Gwendoline and Vixxyn like this comic or stuff like it,I’m not going to stop them from liking it or commenting. I just think it’s a little strange. That’s all. I’m not saying this to insult those females who like stuff like this. I’m just surprised they do. For me,DID’s more for guys just like GID’s more for girls. If there are females who like this,just like guys who like seeing GID,then there’s no harm in it. I just find it odd,but that’s my personal opinion.
One more thing. I noticed that Justine’s husband said “Askling.” Is that the Swedish word for “darling” or am I guessing wrong?
Well There are girls that are into DID stuff and fantazy to be tied up a good example should be the founder of Bedroombondage.Probably the most classic website to see girls as damsels in distress.
You make a good point,Striderxxx. There are females who do that. As I said before,I have nothing against women being into DID or stuff like that. If they imagine themselves in those situations,then it’s all right by me. I’m also hoping that someone like Gwendoline continues with her commenting. It’ll be interesting to see. Let me clarify a few things here: first I’ll definitely gonna comment on all pages of this comic (even on some of the bonus art that is uploaded on deviantart, where I discovered this comic). In the last weeks I just didn’t had that much time to spare as my job is very stressful at the moment. But right now it got better. I’ll definitely write more comments in the near future. I’m glad you like ’em. My goal was to mention interesting fun-facts, make funny comments and maybe even point out details that other readers missed and that people will enjoy. Your appreciation means a lot to me. It definitely helps me keeping on doing this. Because often it’s not that easy to write something original.
But I have to correct you in your assumption that I’m already here for a few years. In fact, I’m definitely not as long here as most of the other commenters. I discovered Semi-Auto Semla not until September of last year. Hence the date of my first comment (on the cover of the first issue).
Another important thing: my nickname may suggest the opposite, but I’m definitely not female, but a guy! So it’s definitely not uncommon in my case that I enjoy watching damsels in distress. But I definitely also know enough women (some of them personally) to know that it’s also not that uncommon for a woman to be into that kind of bondage.
My nickname is actually a homage to the song “Sweet, sweet Gwendoline” by the German band Die Ärzte (transl. the doctors) which itself is about the famous heroine/damsel who appeared in the eponymous comic. “Sweet Gwendoline” by John Willie (one of the first bondage artists and fetish photographers) is actually an icon of the fetish scene. So I thought it would be only fitting for my account on this site (and on deviantart) if I take her name for it. The song is also worth checking out, because it is (at least in Germany) one of the most well-known songs about S&M. The band even chose Gwendoline as their mascot and incorporated giant inflatable statues of this tied up woman in their live shows. Which is pretty awesome considering they are one of the most successful German bands (but most of their other songs aren’t about bondage). studies actually show that lesbians and bisexual women are more likely to be into bondage on average than other sexualities, believe it or not, so really it’s not so surprising to me, especially as someone in the demographic who knows just how true it is lol
If we’re not counting the painting that we saw in the last chapter this is actually the first appearance of the dad. Nice to meet him. He actually seems like a pretty laid-back guy. But maybe he raised his kids not very careful. No wonder they turned out the way they did if their father didn’t show them any restrains. And their mother seems to be only punishing them if it hurts her business. Yeah, it’s not surprising that they grew to be spoiled, arrogant people who think they’re allowed to do everything.
