Ever since I first started commenting here,I had a feeling that I’d see a scene like this. Now,it’s happened. Lilja’s got her hands on Julia. I’m not surprised at all by this scene. I’ve believed for a long time that Lilja would try to get her based on what people here have told me about her. Although Julia saved her from her kidnappers,it’s hard not to get the idea that Lilja’s been wanting to get her for a long time and make her one of her “toys.”
I don’t know what was in those candles,but it’s hard not to imagine that this is something Lilja’s been waiting a long time for this and now she’s gotten what she wanted. What’ll happen to Julia now? Will she become Lilja’s favorite “plaything” or will she figure a way out of this? I don’t pretend to know. Only Eio Semla and the other creators of this comic do. All I know is what I’ve imagined happening has happened. Lilja’s finally got Julia. What happens next is something I can’t imagine. Either she or her pet snake is going are going to have a quite a time with their new “toy.”
Unlike YamiDantes,I don’t really have an opinion of the song choice. I often imagine Willy Wonka singing that song. It’s hard for me to imagine any one else singing it. It’s just a little weird to be seeing it here.
Well the candles did the trick Lilja and I hope you tied up Juila very well or she will try to escape and have you arrested unless those candles wipe out her memory we will wait and see. P.S guys you did a great job on this page keep it up 😍
That’s something I am wondering about myself as well. Maybe something that neutralizes the smell or maybe she has built up a resistance already.
It will really be interesting to see how the whole thing concludes. Even with a memory wipe there are gonna be questions, especially since her two fellow PUNCs (heh) are already searching for her. At least I think they are given that she went missing.
Must say, I kind of hope this doesn’t lead to a brainwashing or mind control scenario – always found that more disturbing than anything. Admittedly that might be the intent but still.
And it finally happened! There was a long buildup to that scene, and we all knew (and wanted to see) that Julia would get tied up again, this time by Lilja. Though the eeriness of this scene might be quite surprising. Especially in combination with that song. I must admit that I actually never watched the original adaptation of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” with Gene Wilder (I only know the version by Tim Burton with Johnny Depp which hadn’t this song in it), but I recently listened to this song on Youtube. It’s definitely fitting because even the original is quite eerie. I imagine Lilja’s voice when she sings it like that of Emily Browning in her cover of “Sweet Dreams” from “Sucker Punch”. Maybe Emily Browning would be a great casting choice for her if this webcomic would be some day made into an animated series, but I doubt that would ever happen, though it is nice to dream of.
The panels with Julia on this page are extremely hot! Though we’ll soon get more than we bargained for…
I don’t know if lilja put anything else in the candles, but julia looks like she’s enjoying it now.
