On another topic: What does the strip’s name mean? A little (or too much) late to ask this, but just now I noticed that IA offered me an explanation for this strip’s name when I wrote it to search for it: “The phrase ‘semi auto semla’ does not refer to a standard culinary or mechanical term, combining the Swedish cream-filled pastry (semla) with the concept of a semi-automatic mechanism.”
• Semla: A traditional Swedish cardamom-spiced sweet roll filled with almond paste and whipped cream, typically eaten during Lent.
• Semi-automatic: A mechanical or firearms term for a system that fires a single round and automatically loads the next one with each pull of the trigger.
