Beistad Colonial Police

With a sworn duty to protect the citizens of the colony of Beistad, the BCP upholds law and order with the full authority of the Tenshen Empire. While Beistad’s strict gun control has lead to the BCP focusing on melee and other non-lethal weaponry, they are fully trained in the use of firearms should the situation require it.

Julia Keiser

A young police officer with a only a few years on the force, Julia Keiser is eager to prove herself and rise up the ranks of the BCP. At the same time, she tries her hardest not to compromise her principles in order to advance. A noble ideal, but her uncompromising yet eager attitude will surely get her into trouble someday.

Philip Örnborg

Age: 39

As the Grand Captain (just Captain will do if you ask him) of the BCP, Philip is tasked with the security and well-being of Beistad’s citizenry. A fatherly man with a lot of experience under his belt, he divides his attention between upholding the law and looking out for his officers. Time will tell if he can keep the balancing act up.

Trevaine Family

Dating back to when Beistad was but a meager trade outpost for the budding Vasland nation, the Trevaines are one of its founding families. Their keen interest in mercantile matters saw to it that the city prospered and grew. This combined with their open embrace of all things Tenshen has earned them an impeccable reputation. Yet in the shadows, people whisper of dark deeds and secrets – foul rumors not helped in the least by the family’s insistence on privacy.

Lilja Augustina Trevaine

Age: 22
Height: 4’11 ft.

First Appearance: Chapter 1

The youngest of Justine’s children, Lilja is a local media darling. Her time spent abroad and her own private nature has build up an air of mystique around her that the media cannot resist. At the moment, her dramatic kidnapping and subsequent rescue is the talk of the town.

Bernard Justin Trevaine

Age: 26
Height: 5’11 ft.
Weight: 220 lbs.
First Appearance: Chapter 2.03

Seeing as he is Justine’s eldest son, it would be easy to assume that Bernard is the heir of the family. But as much as Justine might wish it so, Bernard is simply not leader material. He is thuggish in nature, preferring violence over words and actions over thought. His tour in the Beistad Coast Guard’s marine detachment did nothing to curb this impulse but instead simply gave him an increased taste for efficient violence. Still, his violent impulses makes him an asset for the family’s… less than legal ventures.

Justine Trevaine

Age: 48

Weight: 127 lbs.
First Appearance: Chapter 4

The absolute matriarch of the Trevaines, Justine commands a globe-spanning corporate empire that her family has built up over generations. She rules it and her family with an iron fist, but one sheathed in a velvet glove. Yet harsh as she my be, Justine is keen on making sure Beistad prospers as well. To this end, she has devoted vast sums to the development of community and culture both. Yet as with the rest of her family, dark rumors persist of foul play and hidden agendas.

Yumi Sou

Graduate of the prestigious Chu Gui Imperial Academy, Yumi Sou is a rising star within Beistad’s justice department. She has shot through the ranks like a rocket, earning herself the post of DA at an extrmely young age. This combined with the fact that she attended the same school as Lilja Trevaine has lead many to suspect that Yumi Sou had more than just sponsorship by the Trevaine Family. Those rumors are, of course, completely insubstantial. But whether or not she was, the truth of the matter is that Yumi is hungry, ambitious and keen on rising even higher.

Kenka Zhao

A mysterious Tenshen woman, Kenka Zhao is known in the underworld as an assassin and general “troubleshooter” with few equals. Rumor has it that she is a no-nonsense woman who always gets the job done with a minimum of noise and collateral damage. How exactly she came into the employ of the Trevaine Family is a mystery to all except herself.

Lan Xuelan

A Beistad self-styled “hacktivist” of Tenshen descent, Lan Xuelan is better known online by her moniker xL4N. While meek and shy offline, on the net she is a ruthless troll and merciless destroyer of hard drives. A former student of Beistad’s University of Technology, she now earns her living by mercenary work for the highest bidder. Even a hacktivist has to pay the bills, after all. Rumor has it, however, that she is involved with the Trevaine Family.

Estrella de la Mañana

Hailing from the war-torn Kampunean Subcontinent, the Estrella are a notorious cartel of drugs, violence and weaponry. Once a politically-motivated guerilla group, they have since grown into a wild assortment of gun runners, drug peddlers and worse. Rumor has it that they have expanded to Beistad in an effort to fund their guerilla operations back in Kampunea.

Zila la Roja

Weight: 265 lbs.
First Appearance: Chapter 1

A notorious mercenary, pirate and hit-woman, Zila is a prime example of what the Estrella has to offer. A veteran of intense, bloody fighting, she has skill on par with the best of special forces. Notorious for the bloody work she leaves behind and for her cartel’s pecuilar obsession with ancient Kampunean religious rites – most notably cannibalism. Why exactly such a freak of war would come to the calm city of Beistad is a question only she can answer.

Estrella Leader

Not much is known about the shadowy woman running the Estrella’s operations in Beistad, except that she is equal parts ruthless and power-hungry. But she is in command of a ruthless organization of killers and is wise to the ways of the city – a deadly combination.

Jorgen Arslan

Age: 34

Weight: 685 lbs.
First Appearance: Chapter 2.01

Hailing from the mountains of Pax, Jorgen was once an up and coming pit fighter in the illegal bloodsports back home. Crushing the skull of an opponent who just happened to be the son of an important official, however, forced Jorgen to quickly switch careers. Due to his propensity for violence and easygoing nature, it’s small wonder he ended up with the Kampunean cartels.

The Suomenajokoira

A group of reindeer barons and drug lords from cold and distant Auland, the Suo have a well-earned reputation for viciousness and brutality. Though not as widespread or as openly violent as the Estrella, to those in the know they are even more feared. This is jut as well, for while the average person has little to fear from the Suo, those who cross them learn to pray for death.

Sisu Aalto

Though nominally on his own, Sisu cut his ties with the Suo on most amicable terms. As such, he still retains strong connections to them even after moving to Beistad. Outwardly, Sisu is merely the owner of a floating seafood restaurant – the Koskenkorva. Behind the scenes, however, he dabbles in all sorts of illicit activities.

Anya Asikainen

Weight: 90 pounds
First Appearance: Chapter 8

The young leader of the Suo, Anya inherited the position after her father was poisoned by rivals. Her rule of the Suo has been one of general stability and low attention from the media. But young as she may be, Anya has taken the reins of the vicious group with both hands. The fact that she sees Sisu as a honourary uncle, and her as his niece, has no doubt played a part in this. For who is insane enough to cross such a man?

The Tenshen Empire

From the old world came the millenia old Tenshen Empire. From there, they have spread to other continents, setting up colonies and outposts through their mercantile know-how. Chief among these colonies is the port city of Beistad, their crowning achievement. Needless to say, the Empire keeps a close eye on their city so as to nothing ontoward happens to it.

Bianca Dolcetto Amaretto

Appointed Vicerine of Beistad by grace of the Tiger Empress of Tenshen, Bianca rules the city more or less competently. Once a captain in the Tenshen Navy, she was put in charge of Beistad at a time when piracy was a blight the city’s shipping. Under her leadership, the pirate menace was ruthlessly stamped out. Nowadays, however, people see her as largely.. obsolete.

Lucinda “Luci” Garcia

Age: 24
Height: 5’2 ft.
Weight: 130 lbs.
First Appearance: Chapter 2

Working for the Beistad branch of the Tenshen News Network (TNN), Luci is a reporter equally famous for her hot scoops as she is for her frequent sexual harrassment charges. With a nose for trouble and the charm to get herself out of it, she’s covered everything from the assault on the pirate stronghold of the Jävla Islands to the raid on the Vicerine’s dressing room. Only time will tell if her luck keeps her out of trouble in the long run, however.

Francois Chevalier

Age: 37
Height:6’0 ft.
Weight: 165 lbs.
First Appearance: Chapter 1

A con-man, huckster and general small-timer, Francois is a man with a checkered past and a lot of debts. Recently he was involved in the kidnapping of Lilja Trevaine, but why or for whom is still unknown. What is known, however, is that he has something big planned.

Amelie

Age: 14
Height: 5’3 ft.
Weight: 100 lbs.
First Appearance: Chapter 1

A dirty ragamuffin of a girl who grew up in the meaner parts of Beistad. Rather than growing tough from the experience, she more or less snapped to cope. Which leaves her a crazy, fun-loving punk that either breaks, steals or blows up anything and everything. Seeing as she’s not the sharpest tool in the drawer, it’s lucky that she has Megan to count on.

Megan Macarth

Age: 31
Height: 5’6 ft.
Weight: 140 lbs.
First Appearance: Chapter 2

A tough and sharp-witted country girl from the Tenshen Special Administrative Province of Dedruna, Megan came to Beistad to make a name for herself. She succeeded, more or less, though her pub could stand to see a few more customers who didn’t insist on tying her up and robbing her. Such as Amelie, who at least had the good grace to become Megan’s adoptive daughter of sorts.

Moira Adamas

Age: 36
Height: 6’9 ft.
Weight: 176 lbs.
First Appearance: Chapter 7

Hailing from the distant country of Sosso Saleh, Moira Adams is a relative newcomer in Beistad’s underworld. She is not to be underestimated, however, as her criminal empire of BDSM clubs, human trafficking and worse continues to fester and grow in the less-reputable parts of the fair city. For now, however, she appears to be content with operating below the radar of the BCP. But that will no doubt soon change.
