The Adventures of superman (Fleischer)
Superman takes it to the Japanese Empire in this World War II era cartoon! The Man of Steel aids the American Armed Forces by sabotaging the Japanese shipyards. But this leads to them kidnapping Lois who is there as a field reporter for the US. Unless Supes stops his work she will be executed!
Aiding a friend on his search for his father who disappeared in underground tunnels many years ago, Lois is captured by a tribe of under-dwelling bird people. They intend on sacrificing Lois entombing her in molten gold to be displayed. Luckily Superman is there to make the save like always..
Nazi's and natives! Lois is captured after a plane is shot down carrying secret Allied plans. Lois is trusted with the papers to keep away from the Nazi's but is quickly captured after hiding the plans in the jungle. So the Nazi leader decides to get Lois to spill the location... vith fire!
Once again its Supes vs. the Japs this time the Empire takes the sabotage plan into hand steeling the Americans experimental plane. Easy enough for Supes to handle right? Well not when Lois is caught snooping on board and threatened to be dumped out the bomb-bay doors!
A pissed off Native American wants his land back. So what does he do? Builds an electronic earthquake machine at the bottom of the ocean of course! What's step two? Kidnap a lovely reporter to document his evil extortion scheme! But don't worry. Superman is there to... flood the room... nice job…
Lois takes it upon herself to go undercover working at a munitions factory where its suspected some crooked deals are going down! Well once she gets caught snooping the fiends bind and gag our lovely reporter stuffing her in a torpedo tube set to explode during a test firing!
And here we are... the very first animated Lois Lane and the very first animated Lois Lane DiD scene! In this first adventure into animation Lois is captured by a paranoid mad scientist and his pet vulture and secured in his lab so she can witness his deadly ray pummel the city! Oh no!
And here in only the second episode of the Fleischer series, snoopy Lois gets dumped right into the hands of a mustachio'd villain! He decides to take her to the depths of his forge lair to give her a deadly dip in molten metal pit! Some of the most classic and best shots of a DiD follow! This one is total classic!
The New Adventures of Superman
A crazy professor seeks revenge on Lois Lane for writing a column that ruined his career. So he gets a giant yeti to kidnap her and brings her to space in his rocket where he plans to eject her into orbit in a bubble cage so she'll suffocate in her prsison slowly. Yeah... weird. Wouldn't it have been easier to just... shoot her?
A couple of crazy scottish twins don't want reporters or Superman snooping around their place so they can look for the hidden treasure in peace! So they kidnap Lois and Jimmy and dangle them bound and gagged above a couple of razor blades. Of course Superman is way too fast for that though. Silly Scotts.
Ah one the best gag scenes from my childhood. Lois is caught snooping around and ancient temple and tied up by the villains trusty Ape sidekick. Lois is soon in danger of being crushed by a temple trap set up to stop looters from escaping. Some great expressions and the best mmphs of the series.
While visiting Perry White's farm Lois is eyeballed by a being known as Mister Myst. This creature comes from an underworld and can take human form by possessing unworn clothing! He makes several attempts in this episode to kidnap Lois and take her back to his world intent on making her his Queen.
Superman (Ruby Spears)
This episode has that rediculous Superman villain the Prankster doing... something. He kidnapped baseball players and put them on an island... Does anyone really care? About the only thing interesting is Lois being tied to a rocket which is the ONLY way Prankster can keep Supers from killing him in one punch.
The evil magic horror villain Bonechill wants to get revenge on Superman so he abducts all his friends at the Daily Planet and puts them in death traps from the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Lois, in her lovely dress, gets "The Cask of Amontillado" treatment and will be bricked behind a wall alive.
In this Wonder Woman pilot spinoff attempt by Rupy Spears (oh if only) the Sorceress of Time needs to lure Superman and Wonder Woman out so she sends her troll minion to abduct Lois, then threatens her so that she yells for Superman's help. This trick never gets old.
And once again we see the trick used here as Lois is captured by a mad scientist who has turned himself into a monster. He wants Lois to lead Superman into his trap so he can steal his powers. But this guy actually does the smart thing and gags her so she can't warn him. Her only gag scene in the Ruby Spears series.
Guest Spots
Ah the Superfriends. So much cheese and fun. Well in the episode Lex takes hostages at the Daily Planet to lure Superman in so he can use his new device to kill him. The device has already done in Batman and Wonder Woman so he uses Lois to draw the Man of Steel out... AGAIN.
In this episode of The Batman Lex Luthor hires Gotham's villains to take out Superman and Black Mask has an original idea! Kidnap Lois! Clayface takes Lois right out of the Daily Planet and they wait for Supes to show up and the final showdown can begin. He almost succeeds until the Batman arrives for the save.
Superman TAS
In one of the worst episodes of Superman The Animated Series we get Lois tied up with Aquaman in the back of a van. Or... chained? I'm not really sure because the editing is so terrible you can't tell. At one point she actually gets freed from her wrist bonds TWICE. Seriously a lame ep but at least Lois is tied up! Or chained?
The opening 3 part movie of the series has Lois being her regular snoopy self and getting in over her head. John Corbin and his gang are set to leave the country with an experimental battle suit and take Lois along too keep her from blabbing. Luckily Supes arrives just as they're about to put her in the grave.
Luminus is back and he's blotted out the solar rays of the yellow sun turning them into red sun rays leaving Superman powerless. Lois and Jimmy go snooping around his headquarters and get caught. This supplies Luminus with ample bait to draw Supes out. The only cleave gag I can recall in the DCAU.
And here we go! The best Lois Lane animated DiD scene ever. The Joker takes to Metropolis and targets the man of steel with the promise of a huge payoff from Lex. He steals a huge chunk of Kryptonite and then kidnaps Lois as bait. What ensues is one of the best DiD scenes ever put on TV.
